Counselors at each Westerville high school will visit the district’s middle schools throughout the week of Jan. 31 to share information with current eighth-grade students about scheduling classes for the 2022-23 school year.

Among the options students will learn about: the district’s career pathways in health, engineering and business. The pathways program offers students an opportunity to learn more about their interests before committing to a particular career path in college. Through a partnership with Columbus State Community College, students can earn college credit and industry credentials that may lead to the start of a career while completing a degree program.

In addition to school counselors meeting with students, the district’s high school pathway teachers will visit students during their lunch period to share details and answer questions about the programs. For more information, contact the middle school counselor.

Additional details about the district’s pathway programs are available in the WCS Academic Planning Guide, starting on page 73.
