Community input requested for federal funds to support special education needs

Westerville City Schools is poised to receive $772,772.34 as part of the American Rescue Plan Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Before the budget is finalized, the district is seeking input from the community on how the money could be used to best meet the needs of students with disabilities. 

The current proposal contains funding for two additional specialists, therapies, instructional materials, life skills classroom and two vans equipped with wheelchair accessibility. Community members can provide comments between Thursday, Dec. 16 to Thursday, Dec. 23 form that can be found here
