School Board to Hold Special Meeting Oct. 19

The Westerville City Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Early Learning Center, 936 Eastwind Drive in Westerville.

The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to hold an executive session as permitted by law, and also to take formal action to name the district’s new elementary school and new middle school. The Board will enter executive session first and take action on the school names after reconvening for the public portion of its meeting. The agenda will include an opportunity for public comment on the agenda item(s) to name the new elementary and middle schools.

Space will be limited to 50 people to comply with health and safety protocols based on CDC guidance. Masks will be required and social distancing observed. Proceedings will also be streamed live over the district's YouTube Channel.
