The Westerville Education Foundation’s StoryBall fundraising event on Oct. 23 has been canceled due to the pandemic, organizers said last week.

“The decision to cancel our largest fundraising event of the year was a tough one, but one that we felt was necessary to ensure that our community is not put at additional risk due to our actions during the COVID surge,” WEF leaders said in a statement.

WEF’s StoryBall committee members are currently working on another opportunity for individuals to engage with educators and provide financial support for their innovative projects for students.

WEF leaders said they are grateful to sponsors who continue to show their support for the foundation, including Alliance Data, TRIAD Architects & TRIAD Facility Solutions, WASA - Westerville Area Soccer Association, Westerville Sunrise Rotary, Nichols & Company CPAs, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Education First Credit Union, DCTS - Dayton Cincinnati Technology Solutions, The Weinhardt Family, Stifel Public Finance, Rich & Gillis Law Group, Northstar Family Dental, HR Imaging Partners, Garber Electric, Charles Schwab Westerville Branch, Birdie Books, ACE Hardware, Wanner Metalworx, Vertical Communications, Ultimax, Smart Business Systems, Salaita Orthodontics, Osborn Engineering, Meyers Family Dental, GHM General Contractors, G2, Arthur J.
