As part of Black History Month activities, Westerville City Schools’ Educational Equity office is hosting an opportunity where families and middle and high school students can connect with Dr. Hasan Jeffries, an associate professor of history at The Ohio State University.
Teachers have been invited to share Jeffries’ TEDTalk on confronting hard history in February and gather questions from students from his presentation. Students and families can watch Jeffries’ live virtual session 6 p.m. March 4 at the upcoming Parent Prep workshop series, where he will answer student questions.
Jeffries led a session for educators during the district’s Westerville Education professional development day.
