On Thursday, October 18, eighth grade students at Genoa Middle School participated in the annual Junior Achievement (JA) Day, with volunteers from Nationwide.  Pupils learned about careers, budgeting, credit and insurance, thanks to volunteers from Alliance Data, who engaged them in discussions, instruction, reflective writing, mathematical calculations, and instructional board games.  JA is committed to developing and implementing programs that empower young people’s future success by helping them become entrepreneurial thinkers, financially capable, and work ready.

Teachers Shannan McCreary and Ashley McFerren organized the event.
