Westerville City School District Superintendent John R. Kellogg, Ed.D., today announced that the deadline for public input on the district's draft Strategic Plan framework has been extended from December 12, 2013, to midnight on Friday, December 20, 2013.

Kellogg noted that while the data may not change significantly from its current state, district officials believe there is great value in providing more time for people to share their viewpoints.

“This is a critical document that will help set the future direction of our school district,” Kellogg said.  “The amount of interest we've seen since launching the public feedback process has only grown, and we certainly don’t want to get in the way of this momentum.  All of the data we’re collecting will help guide us as we shift toward implementation.”

Approximately 180 stakeholders have been collaborating since November 4, 2013, to formulate a framework for the plan, which is themed Creating the 21st Century Student. Persons interested in providing input may do so through a strategic planning link on the home page of the district’s website at www.wcsoh.org.  For those who do not have a computer or Internet access, print versions of the feedback document are available at each district school, along with the Academic Enrichment Center, the Early Learning Center, the Enrollment and Family Resource Center, and the Westerville Public Library.
