On Monday, November 18, Westerville City Schools Transition Coordinators had the opportunity to tour offsite programs that Fort Hayes Career Center offers to qualifying students.  In addition to traditional career center programs, Fort Hayes offers five off site programs that help pupils develop working skills and vocational habits that can transfer to any employment setting.  These programs are housed at local businesses including Riverside Hospital, Grant Hospital, Lifecare Alliance, Goodwill Industries and the Columbus City School (CCS) Food Production Facility.  Through the district’s partnership with CCS and its Career & Tech Education agreement, Westerville students are able to apply and attend these programs as part of their career center opportunities.  Of the 12 spaces open in each program, 10 are for CCS students and two are reserved for out of district partners that can include applicants from Westerville, Worthington, Upper Arlington, Grandview and Private/Charter schools.
