Cindy Crowe, a 13-year veteran of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education, was honored by dignitaries from the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) at the Regular Session of the Westerville Board held on October 28.  Crowe was lauded for having devoted her life to public education as a teacher, volunteer, fundraiser, school board member and legislative advocate.  In addition to serving on the Westerville School Board, Crowe held a number of positions at the OSBA, and has been active in countless community endeavors.  She was also credited for her contribution towards Westerville Schools earning the state’s highest academic ranking, Excellent with Distinction.

Despite being diagnosed earlier this year with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Crowe continues to serve the schools and community and has worked tirelessly to raise funds for research to fight the disease and has participated in clinical trials to further that research.

OSBA representatives concluded their presentation by thanking Cindy Crowe for her “unparalleled inspiration and incomparable contributions to OSBA, public education, her community and the future of the thousands of children she has served.”
