Otterbein University is hosting the Helping Harvest Festival of Service from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 26.  The free, family friendly event will take place at the Otterbein Community Garden, which is located at 390 N. Spring Road.  Community members are invited, and are asked to park in the lot of Heritage Middle School.  The event will feature:

  • Apple cider and donuts;
  • Children’s games;
  • Educational stations;
  • Fall crafts;
  • A farmer’s market; and
  • Service projects.

Many of the plots in the Otterbein Community Garden are maintained by students, teachers and staff in the Westerville City School District.  NorthPointe pupils garden there, and in the summer, a camp program for children called SOIL takes place.
