In honor of Westerville City Schools Board of Education member Cindy Crowe, a team of walkers was formed to participate in the two-mile Walk to Defeat ALS event, which took place on Sunday, September 29 at Fred Beekman Park on the campus of The Ohio State University.  “Westerville Crowes for Cindy,” one of 127 participating teams, raised $2,925 for the cause.  Team captain was Kim Cody.

Money raised from the walk will help lead global research, assist people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease), fund multidisciplinary certified clinical care centers, and foster government partnerships. More than $221,000 was raised at the event, but the goal is $290,000.  It is not too late to contribute.  For further information, please visit http://tinyurl.com/mx9f49t.
