Ohio law says a person must be able to perform eight physical activities if he or she wants to work as a school bus driver. However, the law doesn’t require the person to actually perform the activities -- they only need a doctor to certify that they are capable of performing them. Westerville City Schools goes above and beyond to ensure its drivers can respond appropriately in the event of an emergency by requiring its drivers to complete several of the physical activities.
