At the recommendation of the Elementary Attendance Boundary Realignment Committee, the Westerville City School District Board of Education will not hold a first reading on proposed elementary attendance boundary changes during its regular meeting on February 25, 2013. Instead, Board members will hear a status report on the committee’s work to date.

“The original timeline called for the Board of Education to hold a first reading during its next regular meeting on Monday,” said Superintendent Dr. Dan Good. “However, the committee has recommended, and we fully agree, that additional time is needed to narrow down available boundary options and gather additional feedback from the community.”

The revised timeline calls for the Board to hold a first reading on proposed elementary boundary revisions during its regular meeting on March 11, 2013. Should the Board wish to approve the revisions prior to spring break as originally planned, it would need to schedule a special meeting prior to March 22, 2013, at which a second and final reading would occur.
