Since the spring of 2004, Roush Honda has sponsored the Great Mentor Educator (GEM) Awards in the Westerville City School District. The GEM Award is given to recognize individuals who go over and above what is expected to make a difference in the lives of students at each school in the Westerville School District and/or in the school district as a whole. Building and district nominations are due February 7, and can be turned into any school building office.

Nominations can be made by members of the school building, school district, parents, students, and/or the public. Nominees can include community members, volunteers, parents, district and/or building faculty and staff. GEM award winners will be announced in late March and will be honored at a special Board of Education GEM Awards program on Monday, April 29 in the Westerville South Auditorium.
