Chinese New Year Celebration will take place at Westerville Central on February 16

The Ohio Chinese Culture Link (CCL), together with the Ohio Contemporary Chinese Schools (Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Athens), Central Ohio Families with Children from China (COFCC), and other community organizations, will celebrate Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 16.  This free, all-day event will be held at Westerville Central High School, which is located at 7118 Mount Royal Ave.
  
Delicious authentic Chinese food, children’s carnival activities, martial arts performances, cultural arts, folk dance, Table Tennis, Chinese Chess, Go, Mahjong, Badminton, crafts and vendors will all be available.  The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.  There will be three on-stage artistic performances starting at 11:00 a.m. This year’s event also features a special exhibition and film of the Central Province of Hubei, China.  Both admission and parking are free.

Ohio Contemporary Chinese School and Chinese Cultural Link are non-profit educational organizations.  One of the goals is to introduce the Chinese language and culture to all people in local communities.  They believe the important insight to be gained from cultural diversity strengthens mutual understanding and appreciation of all cultures.
