Leadership Westerville Class of 2013 Experiences “Principal for a Day”

What’s it like to be the principal in a public school? A dozen members of Leadership Westerville’s Class of 2013 found out on December 5 when they spent the morning shadowing principals in the Westerville City School District. They found the experience to be enlightening and rewarding. The following Leadership Westerville members were paired up as follows:
  • Zoe Bennett, City of Westerville – Electric Division, with Pointview Elementary Principal Jeanne Roth;
  • Leslie Cavin, Otterbein University, with Walnut Springs Middle School Principal Leslie Kelly;
  • Drew Evans, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, with Westerville North High School Principal Kurt Yancey;
  • Kelli Fowler, OhioHealth Westerville Medical Campus, with Whittier Elementary Principal Kim Woosley;
  • Victoria Hazlett, Wilder Elementary Principal, with Genoa Middle School Principal Carrie Trusley;
  • Tom Hockman, City of Westerville – Service Department, with Cherrington Elementary Principal Andrew Heck;
  • Colleen Lemmon, City of Westerville, with Annehurst Principal Howard Baum;
  • Matt Lofy, Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, with Westerville Central High School Principal Todd Spinner;
  • Jenny Nickel, ATC – All the Children of the World Academy, with Heritage Middle School Principal Joe Kacsandi;
  • Katie Ross, Westerville Public Library, with Blendon Middle School Principal Kendall Harris;
  • Nina Thomas, Westerville Public Library, with Huber Ridge Elementary Principal Jonathan Langhals; and
  • Jeff Will, Westerville City Schools, with McVay Elementary Principal Amy Miller.
