WEF Grant Recipients are Recognized at Breakfast Ceremony

The Westerville Education Foundation (WEF) recently announced that seven grants totaling $5,950.73 were awarded to school employees. These groups and individuals were recognized on December 7 at an award ceremony and breakfast held at the Westerville Public Library. Recipients were:
  • Tom Markle, Walnut Springs Middle School, $1,000 for the Walnut Springs Middle School Mentorship Program;
  • Lisa Huelskamp, Janice Hill and Jean Trimble, Walnut Springs Middle School, $600 for Interdisciplinary Advanced Language Arts Service Learning: Public Service Announcement Project for 8th Graders;
  • Lyndsey Manzo, Westerville North High School, $500 for Zero Waste at Home Plate;
  • Leslie Baumann, Westerville high schools, $1,000 for the Westerville Wild Warbots;
  • Leah Schulte, Genoa Middle School, $731.73 for Jaguar Update: TV Announcements for Genoa Middle School;
  • Kenny Lee, Westerville City School District, $1,119 for Camtasia Software for Enhanced Digital Learning; and
  • Dr. Rebecca Berkowitz, Early Learning Center, $1,000 for Using Pedometers as a Means to Monitor Physical Activity for Use in Cross Curricula Learning.
