Genoa Speech and Language Pathologist, Rachel Morris accepts a $1,000 check from SERTOMA member Andrea Stoughton on October 30.

Members of the Genoa Middle School Student Council helped SERTOMA during Westerville Fourth Friday events this past summer. The students volunteered their time and helped to serve snow cones to members of the community. Through the collaboration they were able to raise $1,000. All profits were donated from SERTOMA to the Genoa Middle School Speech and Hearing Department.

The SERTOMA Club stands for “SERvice TO MAnkind.” The focus of the Westerville group is speech and hearing, which resulted in the partnership with Genoa Middle School.
