Genoa’s Volleyball Team Collects Supplies for Ronald McDonald House

On October 10, the Genoa Middle School 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams played their last home games against Heritage Middle School. They also hosted a Nationwide Children’s Hospital charity event to collect and deliver always-needed toiletries and household supplies to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The girls promoted the activity through announcements at school and on Facebook and Insta-gram. The Ronald McDonald House provides a safe and secure “home-away-from-home” for families with seriously ill children. It is located across the street from Nationwide Children’s Hospital on Livingston Avenue. Families are asked to make a nominal donation of $20 per night; however, no one is ever turned away for their inability to make a contribution.
