Families packed Whittier Elementary to see hundreds of pieces of art that were displayed throughout the school.
Dozens of families gathered at Whittier Elementary on Friday evening, May 4, to see a school-wide exhibit featuring two- and three-dimensional pieces of art on display throughout the building. Students in kindergarten through grade five created the art, and teacher Liz Bash organized the show. This year’s event also included hands-on art activity stations run by fourth and fifth grade pupils; and musical performances by the Whittier Choir, Recorder Club, and fifth grade Bucket Drummers. PTA hosted a book fair and food trucks were present to provide refreshments.
