Pointview Elementary continued its Fall Festival this year, adapting the program to take into account health and social distancing guidelines.

The festival, one held on Oct. 21 for students in Cohort A and another on Oct. 28 for Cohort B, included a virtual assembly where students could see their friends in other classes, movement activities and solving riddles with classmates. Students also dressed as their favorite book characters. The school’s PTA provided snacks for students.

“This school year has been full of many challenges and we wanted to create a positive and meaningful experience for the students, staff, and families,” said music teacher Alex Chapman, who along with teachers Alisa Franklin and Jill Fockler planned this year’s festivities.

The group is planning to host similar events before winter break and around Valentine’s Day.
