As part of its school-wide Leader In Me program, Pointview Elementary hosted its fifth annual Leadership Team Kickoff Assembly on Monday, October 14. Students helped plan and emcee the event. After the assembly, pupils were able to choose their top three choices for teams, which begin on November 19.
Leadership teams are held every other F day for 45 minutes. This collaborative time across the school allows for social-emotional learning within the seven habits of highly effective people. It also allows staff to connect with youngsters they do not work with each day.
Teams this year include the New Student and Teacher Welcome Team, School News, Event Planning, Science Synergizers, Student Lighthouse, Student Learning, Free Play Learners, Panther Pals, Girls who Code, the Creative Club, Spanish Club, Kinders, and Good Eats.
