Pointview Elementary School hosted its first Student of the Month assembly on Friday, October 2. Pupils there have been focused on traits from the Leader in Me book by Stephen R. Covey, which encourages children to become more responsible, creative, and tolerant of differences. Covey writes, “They need to increase their ability to think for themselves, take initiative, get along with others, and solve problems.” Thirteen pupils were honored for being “proactive” and as a reward, they got to participate in a Three Little Pigs skit with their teachers.
