It’s not every day children can come home from school and tell their parents they petted a live alligator. But that’s exactly what happened when Columbus Zoo representatives visited Pointview Elementary School on February 20. The PTA sponsored the event, called “Wild Wonders,” a program designed to assist teachers in fulfilling Ohio Academic Content Standards by giving students first-hand knowledge about mammals, birds and reptiles.
