The Pointview Elementary School PTA held its second annual Science Night on Thursday evening, February 20. Several science activities were set up around the school that demonstrated scientific principles taught through the Science Curriculum. Students taped batteries together to create electrical circuits; caused explosive chemical changes with Mentos candy and Pepsi bottles; blew up balloons with gasses caused by adding vinegar to baking soda; made raisins “dance” with 7-Up; and watched Oobleck turn from a solid to a liquid in their hands.
