Dana Turtle, a meteorologist and weather/science reporter for ABC 6 on Your Side and FOX 28 News, visited fourth grade students at Pointview Elementary School on Monday, November 25 to discuss weather and meteorology as a profession. The children asked many questions and appeared on the 5:00 news that evening. Turtle holds degrees in Mass Media Communication and English Writing from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He received his Meteorology training from Mississippi State University. He began his forecasting career at WDAY-TV in Fargo, North Dakota. Turtle is also a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.
