First Grade Pointview Students Spread Message of Peace

First grade students at Pointview Elementary School celebrated the International Day of Peace by performing at an assembly last week before fellow pupils and appreciative parents. They shared several songs and books from the Readers Theater to spread their hopeful and uplifting message. Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The General Assembly of the United Nations has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
