McVay Elementary School held its fourth annual Literacy Night on Wednesday evening, February 6, in alignment with their One School One Book program.  The theme was Roll out the Red Carpet for Books that are Movies.  Students enjoyed a number of reading and writing activities focused on movie themes.  In addition, Westerville Public Library representatives were present to sign up families for library cards.  Volunteers from Westerville Partners for Education’s Book Bonanza program were also there to give every child a “new to them” book, and the PTA held a book fair in the library.  A raffle gave families the opportunity to win free E.B. White books.  The entire school has been reading White’s classic, Charlotte’s Web.  Participants enjoyed the glitz and glam of the red carpet affair.
