“Home of the Free, Because of the Brave” has been chosen as the theme for Rotary’s July 4th parade.  Riley Jacopin, a first grade student in Sandy Bundesen’s class at McVay Elementary School, came up with the winning submission and won $100 and a place of honor in the big 4th of July parade.  Jacopin and her family will be the guests of honor at a future Rotary Club of Westerville luncheon held at Villa Milano.

The Rotary Club of Westerville sponsors the theme contest, which this year drew hundreds of entries from 16 elementary schools in the community.  All classrooms with 100% participation in the competition were also entered into a drawing to win a pizza party, which was won by students in Kelley Moff’s fourth grade classroom at Annehurst Elementary School.
