On November 18 the McVay Elementary PTA hosted its first ever Family Science Night. Approximately 360 people representing more than 150 families participated in 10 different experiments. The children and their families got to build hover crafts, catapults and parachutes and drop them on targets from the second floor, among many other activities. A free family style dinner of pizza and bananas was enjoyed while Dr. Boom and McVay’s own Lindsey Clouston presented Dinner Show Science Experiments. The McVay PTA extended special thanks to sponsors Shirck Orthodontists, Clark Reality, Half Price Books Westerville, and Usborne Books by Marissa, for allowing them to host this incredible event for the school.
