First grade students at McVay Elementary School raised $1,930 for the Westerville Caring and Sharing holiday project.  The money was earned through Spare Change Week and a Bake Sale and Raffle held on December 9.  The children sold treats at their desks and invited the entire school to the sale.  Parents baked goods and donated 150 raffle prizes.  The pupils visited Target at Easton on December 10 where, with the help of 30 parent volunteers, they bought clothes and toys for 24 needy children.  The gifts will be delivered to Caring and Sharing this weekend.

Charitable holiday fundraising activities are taking place at many buildings throughout the Westerville City School District this month.
