The Westerville Lions Club hosted the fifth annual Ned Mosher Apple Butter festival on Sunday, October 6, at the McVay Elementary log cabin located in the forest on the grounds of the school at 270 S. Hempstead Road.

Lions Club members demonstrated apple butter and apple cider making, and children were invited to participate in old fashioned games and crafts.  Tours of the log cabin were offered as well, and cider and apple butter were available for purchase, along with homemade pulled pork sandwich meals.   Donations were accepted to help with the cost of maintaining the cabin.  Part of the proceeds will also be used to fund Lion’s mission of providing services for those who need help with issues relating to their sight.  The late Ned Mosher was an outdoorsman and teacher in the Westerville City School District.
