Annehurst students posed with the groceries they were able to purchase from bake sale proceeds.

It all started as a little service project undertaken by third grade students at Annehurst Elementary School.  364 hygiene products were collected to benefit families in need through Westerville’s Caring & Sharing.  Then they threw in a bake sale and raised an additional $385.  Caring & Sharing representatives told them food donations were low this year, and asked if the additional money could be spent on items such as beef ravioli, beef stew, vegetables, canned tuna, peanut butter, and other non-perishable food.  When the project concluded, dozens of families throughout the community benefited from the receipt of food and hygiene products, and the youngsters at Annehurst proved that small children can certainly make a big difference.
