Annehurst Elementary School Principal Howard Baum is retiring on February 1, having served 35 years as an educator in Westerville. He first reported to work in the district on August 28, 1978, where he had been hired to teach fourth grade. On Friday, December 14, the Annehurst staff and students surprised their beloved leader with an assembly which featured skits, books, poems and songs.

Earl Rahm has been named as Baum’s successor. He joined the Westerville City School District in 2010 as Assistant Principal of Heritage Middle School. He came to the district from Reynoldsburg City Schools where he spent 10 years in various capacities at the middle level.
