RECESS ON COLD & SNOWY DAYS
Please bundle up your child with warm coats, hats, boots, and gloves. Students will go outside for recess every day unless the temperature or wind chill is below 20 degrees, or it is raining. Please help your child practice dressing themselves in winter gear. It's helpful when students can bundle up by themselves.
2020-21 SCHOOL FEES
Families need to pay their grade-level fees. We encourage parents to use the EZPay system. Simply go to www.wcsoh.org and click on EZPay under the Resources section.
The transportation department assigns your bus stop, pick-up and drop-off times based on your home address. Please check the Parent Portal frequently for updated bus information.
CAR DROP-OFF & PICK-UP— Students can be dropped off at 9:25 as long as a Longfellow staff member is outside to greet them. Cars may not park in the area marked for buses on Hiawatha Avenue in front of the Building. The pick-up and drop-off area is in the parking lot at the orange traffic cone marked “student pick-up area”. Be sure to follow the painted arrows. A Longfellow Rocket Pick-Up card should be displayed on the dash of the car with the student's first and last name clearly printed.
If you bring your child to school late and staff members are no longer on arrival duty, you will need to walk your student to the door and ring the doorbell. A Longfellow staff member will assist you in signing your student in.
If your child is riding a bus to or from school be sure the bus tag is attached to the backpack.
Thank you for your cooperation. If everyone adheres to these safety rules, student arrival and dismissal will be safe for all!
