Camden Kuhlman, a kindergarten student in Stephanie Sahr’s class at Fouse Elementary, proposed the winning theme for the Rotary Club of Westerville’s 2023 Independence Day Parade: “Red, White and Blue and Liberty Too.”

With the winning submission, Kuhlman will receive $100 and is invited to ride on the Rotary’s float during the big parade with a friend or family member.

Representatives from the Rotary Club celebrated Kuhlman on Friday with a popsicle party for his class. Kuhlman and his family will be the guests of honor at a future Rotary Club of Westerville luncheon held at Villa Milano.

Last week, Shelley Ebright’s fifth-grade class at Annehurst Elementary were treated to a pizza party as her class was the only one in the district where every student submitted an entry form for Westerville's July 4th Theme.
