Westerville City Schools invites parents to attend “Kindergarten 101 - A Basic Introduction to Kindergarten in Westerville.”  This will take place from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, at both Fouse and Hawthorne Elementary Schools.  The same presentation will be made concurrently at both sites.  Parents may choose the location that is most convenient for them.

This 60-minute program is designed for parents of incoming kindergarten students.  Participants can expect to receive information from the Enrollment and Family Resource Center regarding Westerville’s registration process.  District administrators will give an overview of kindergarten “gentle start”/assessments and a kindergarten teacher will present information about kindergarten curriculum and expectations.  A question/answer session will follow the presentation.

Free childcare for children two years old and older will be provided on site by members of Westerville City Schools High School Service Organizations.   Please reserve a childcare spot by contacting Krista Eisenman at 797-5934.

Somali interpreters will be present at Hawthorne and Spanish interpreters will be available at Fouse.  Please call 797-5934 to inquire about American Sign Language needs.
