Two Westerville students earned top marks in annual Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District poster contest

Two Westerville students are among the winners in the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual conservation poster contest. They include:

  • Honorable Mention in the Grade 2-3 category: Blakely Thompson, third-grade at Alcott Elementary School

  • Third place in the Digital 7-12 category: Anna McCracken, seventh-grade at Walnut Springs Middle School

The theme for the 2023 conservation poster contest focused on “One Water” and how all the water in the world is connected among people, animals and plants. Nearly 1,300 students from 18 different schools in seven different school districts within Franklin County participated in this year’s contest.
