The Westerville City School District (WCSD) is expanding its All-Day Kindergarten (ADK) program for the 2022-23 academic year. As a result, any student offered a seat in the program via lottery will be able to remain at their home school of attendance to participate.
Half-Day Kindergarten and All-Day Kindergarten classes will continue to be offered at every traditional elementary school in the district. WCSD since 2015 has also been using Longfellow Elementary School exclusively as a four-classroom ADK program site. However, with ADK expansion at students' home schools of attendance next school year, children will no longer have to be bussed to Longfellow and the program site can be repurposed for other district use.
ADK is a fee-based, lottery program with tuition assistance available for those that qualify. Families who wish to apply to the ADK lottery may do so as part of the online enrollment application. If your child was enrolled in the district's preschool program or will be repeating kindergarten, please contact Angie Goff at goffa@westerville.k12.oh.us or 614-797-5934 for instructions on applying to the ADK lottery.
Kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year is currently underway. In order to have your child included in the ADK lottery, registration in the district must be completed by March 4, 2022.
