Alcott Elementary’s PTA and teachers hosted a Science Spectacular in January where staff participated in live and recorded activities for students and families three times a week.
Typically, Alcott’s PTA hosts COSI on Wheels for students to explore the sciences through hands-on activities. Because of the pandemic, the PTA launched the month-long virtual event with staff led students in science projects such as creating lava lamps and liquid rainbows and learning about capillary action.
