Third grade students at Alcott Elementary School are enjoying the addition of “The Nest,” a 21st century learning space created in the building’s former computer lab. Monthly challenges for pupils are theme-based and range from collaborative to individual activities which are differentiated for children from kindergarten to grade five, including special needs units. Within the activities, teachers encourage youngsters to use a growth mindset to problem solve together to work through the challenges.
