During the month of December, Alcott Elementary has been home to a woodland forest in the front foyer. Complete with “animals” and snow, this beautiful winter site was created by the Alcott Student Council to encourage pupils to donate to the school’s Giving Tree. The children collected new and gently used hats, coats, mittens and gloves to donate to a Columbus shelter to help keep homeless families warm this winter.
