First and second graders at Alcott Elementary School were recently treated to an entertaining and inspirational visit from Ronald McDonald. The free, 45-minute show they saw, called It’s Book Time with Ronald McDonald, addressed the topic of reading in a fun and relevant way for young children. Through the use of magic, music, puppets, student participation, and lots of laughter, Ronald McDonald delivered a powerful message to the youngsters about the value of books and the enjoyment that comes from reading. The free program, provided by McDonald’s, was developed with the hands-on support and guidance of elementary education experts.
