Alcott Students Donate 205 Pounds of Candy to Chillicothe Veterans’ Hospital

Students from Alcott Elementary School in grades four, five and kindergarten recently collected 205 pounds of candy for veterans at the Chillicothe Veterans Hospital. The children were proud to help brighten the lives of these men and women who normally don't have access to sweet treats. This was their small way of saying “thank you” to those who have defended our country and provided the freedoms we enjoy. The candy was weighed and bagged by Cheryl Ortlieb's fourth grade class.
