The school would use the $50,000 to purchase a set of 3 iPads per classroom as well as a set for each of our Intervention teachers. The iPads can be used for guided instruction in small groups as well as for individual practice. This has been demonstrated in other schools in the district with great success. We would also purchase an Apple TV for each classroom so that one of the iPads can be used for whole group instruction as well. IPads are highly interactive and have been shown through research to provide greater motivation than more traditional methods. This program would also help the district to provide more technological uniformity across its elementary schools.
