Westerville Central Warhawk Theatre is partnering with the Westerville Public Library with its production of “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical,” a musical adaptation of Rick Riordan's best-selling book.

Show dates and times include 7 p.m. April 21 and 22; 2 p.m. April 22 and 23. Seats are $10. Tickets are available on the Warhawks Theatre website or at the door.

Westerville Central Warhawk Theatre Director Stephanie Matushoneck selected the show for the school’s spring production at the request of her students, who loved the book series and wanted to produce the show after learning of the musical adaptation. As part of the partnership with the Westerville Public Library, the library has an entire Percy Jackson display with activities for kids.

Based on the award-winning novel that launched the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, The Lightning Thief tells the story of Percy Jackson who discovers he's a demigod and he and his friends embark on a journey to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods.
