Rotary Club of Westerville October 2022 Student of the Month

The Rotary Club of Westerville recognized its October 2022 Students of the Month during an Oct. 6 meeting. Throughout the school year, from October through May, the Club honors four students from local high schools each month. Working with the school principals and counselors, one student each month is chosen from Westerville Central, Westerville North, Westerville South and St. Francis DeSales high schools. The students, their parents, and the school administrators are introduced and honored at a Rotary Club luncheon each month.

October 2022 Honoree Profiles

Westerville Central: Amari Kiluvia’s favorite subject is English. The senior competes in the school’s track & field team as well as AAU Track & Field. She is a gymnastics coach at Buckeye Gymnastics. Among the awards and achievements she’s received: honor roll, certificate of commendation, First Year Track & Field Varsity Award, Most Scored Points award. She is interested in attending Texas Christian University, Boston University, Jacksonville University or Kent State University. “Extremely grateful to be in the position that I am. I am thankful for all the help and guidance  from the Westerville Central Staff and for making me a better student athlete.” 

Westerville North: Abigail Heck’s favorite subjects are biology, psychology and English. The senior is part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Warrior2Warrior Tutoring, Hope Squad, Big Warrior Little Warrior Mentoring, the Superintendent Advisory Committee and the OSU Student Leadership Research Collaborative. She also participates in Five14 Church Squad and club volleyball as well as work part-time. She competes on the school’s volleyball, lacrosse and dive teams. She has been on the school’s high honor roll for three consecutive years. She has been a scholar athlete for three consecutive years and an AP Scholar. She is interested in attending Vanderbilt University, Butler University or the University of Tennessee to study neuroscience, psychology or biology. 

Westerville South: Allie Kotik’s favorite subjects are English and government. The senior is a member of Hope Squad, National Honors Society and Key Club. She competes in the school’s varsity soccer team as well as a club soccer team. Among the awards and achievements she’s received: Scholar Athlete, Honor Roll, Academic letter and Varsity letter. She is interested in attending Duke University, University of Cincinnati or the University of Michigan with plans to study pre-law or education. 

St. Francis DeSales: Kat Gunther-Reveal’s favorite subjects are English, choir/music and broadcast journalism. The senior is Student Council Vice President, Choir Vice President, Drama Club President, Broadcast Journalism/SFDTV leader and co-founder of the Stallions for Social Justice Club. She is a member of the National Honors Society, Student Ambassador Core Team, E-Team CORE, International Thespian Society and the St. Paul Teen Choir. She serves as the youngest reader for VoiceCorps. She is interested in attending Hofstra University, Emerson College, Northwestern University, Syracuse University, Boston University, University of Cincinnati or Ohio University to study film & television, media production or broadcast journalism. “I have loved my time on stage in the DeSales Performing Arts Department. I also am a huge advocate for menstrual equality and period poverty. I established free-vend menstrual product dispensers in my school bathrooms throughout sophomore and junior year!”
