More WCSD seniors sign National Letter of Intent to play athletics in college

Seven more Westerville City Schools seniors recently signed their letter of intent for a collegiate sport. They include:

WESTERVILLE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

  • Daniel Gaskill, football at Wittenburg University

  • Maria De Cunha, track at Cuyahoga College

  • Mallory Strickland, cheer at Purdue University 

  • Rebekah Fannin, soccer at Anderson University 

WESTERVILLE NORTH HIGH SCHOOL

  • Edwin White, wrestling at Bellarmine University

    • He will study engineering at Bellarmine. While at WNHS, White was involved with football and wrestling. This past wrestling season, he reached the podium at the state tournament, finishing 6th overall at 138 pounds. 

  • Jack Bichsel, lacrosse at Lourdes University

    • Bichsel has been playing lacrosse for the past 10 years and started playing goalie as a freshman at WNHS. He is a scholar athlete, two-time captain and a 4-year letterman for the Warriors. He received first-team OCC honors as a junior. He currently holds the school record for the most goal saves in a single game and in a season. Bichsel is a member of the Warrior Athletic Leadership Team, wrestled for three years and played football for two years. He plans to study education at Lourdes.

  • Koltyn Scarantine, track at Penn State Behrend 

    • Scarantine has competed in track for four years and played football for three years, earning varsity letters in both sports. He is a member of the Westerville Athletic Leadership Team as well as the Ohio Speed Academy Track Club. He will major in business management at Penn State Behrend.
