Westerville Central Warhawk Theatre’s December production of “Elf The Musical Jr.” ends this weekend with four performances starting Friday, Dec. 10.

Following the performance, children and families can meet Buddy the Elf, Santa and several elves as well as craft with Santa’s elves.

“Christmas is a time for family and Elf is the story of family — be it the one you are born to or the one that raises you,” Westerville Central Warhawk Theatre Director Stephanie Matushoneck said.

The theatre group wanted to create an interactive experience for families to enjoy together heading into the holiday season, building on a tradition that started in 2019.

Based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema hit, Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Unaware that he is human, Buddy is raised as an elf — until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Show dates and times include 7 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11; 2 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12.

All seats are $10 and will be reserved. Tickets are available on the Warhawks Theatre website: www.wchstheatre.net.
