The Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP), a hands-on summer internship that focuses on entrepreneurial thinking and development through practical experience, is set to expand to Columbus with its inaugural class of interns convening in 2021.

YEP Columbus will partner with Columbus’ top tech startups to create immersive opportunities for high school students for skill development in their areas of interest and to open their minds to business creation. The program is set to open in Columbus in early 2021 under the name YEP Columbus, and will recruit 12 scholars for its inaugural class.

Current high school juniors and seniors across central Ohio, including Westerville, are encouraged to apply. The application period starts Dec. 15 and runs through Feb. 15. Students can expect a real-world application process that involves remote interviews and two rounds of in-person interviews. The 8-week internship program will begin on June 7 and ends Aug. 6. Admitted scholars will be paid during their internship and will receive a college scholarship of $2,500.
